peterandvicky
I have just bought a new romahome and I am looking for a set of external thermal screens. My old romahome had a set of genuine silver screens and I have been well satisfied but I have seen some called taylor made. Has anyone any experience of the two or can recommend one or other

Mel B
We've always had Taylormade ones, we've just changed our motorhome to a Ford base and even though our old one was a Fiat base - and we'd had the screens for a good few years I've kept them and done a very simple mod on them to make them fit as there was no point in replacing them for the sake of it as they are still in very good condition so they do last. Guest Frank Wilkinson
I bought a set from Taylor Made a few weeks ago. Prompt service, a good product and a much better price than Silverscreens.
Mel E
There are lots of earlier posts on this topic. But, just to re-balance this thread: Taylormade? Appalling service - still making excuses a year after taking our order. We had everything from broken sewing machines, lack of material (just going to Italy), it's in the post, 'surprised you haven't got it', my wife's ill, and so on. A YEAR!!! Silver Screens delivered within a week, actually rang to check whether we had Remis blinds (we have - needs them to make the over door loop bigger), can't fault the service or the product. Taylormade don't knock the comprtition? Probably not - they're standing in a glass house!
chas
Taylormade quality, keen price and friendly to deal with, know who I will buy from when the need arises. (lol)
MandyAndy
Got ours from Taylor Made a month ago, such nice people, ordered one day recieved 2 days later, excellent service. Especially from someone suffering from ME for 30years, they really struggle at times to keep up. I admire people with that amount of drive and determination especially when they give such excellent service to others. Mandy
Dave Newell
I've had screens from both Silver Screens and Taylor Made and received the same level of service from both, but then the screens I bought were, on both occasions, straight forward off the peg items. tonybvi
I am surprised that nobody here has mentioned Steve Beevers of Van Comfort. I contacted both Silver Screens and TaylorMade for external screens for my Burstner Elegance A class with no joy. I then found an ad for Van Comfort and found them to be excellent. They asked for full details of the van plus some photos to ensure that they supplied the correct parts which they ordered from Germany. It wasn't until the screens actually arrived at Van Comf from Germany that they asked for payment and then despatched the screens immediately, arriving at my home in Northern Scotland the next day. The screens fitted perfectly and have been used most weekends this Winter with no problems. Total time from order to delivery - 2 weeks.
