tringy
Hi all ,we had notication the Thomas cook lyk euro card is ending in April, what do others use as pre loaded euro card instead of carrying cash ? Until now this has been brilliant for us choosing the high points in the exchange rate to load the card up.The system was very easy to use and safe and secure. What do other people use? Information appreciated.Regards Tringy.

Sapper520
Been using Fair FX for a number of years. In fact we have two in order not to have all our spending money on one card. ;-)

Sapper520
Download the mobile app and you can load it from anywhere. No charge for paying for goods / services. €1.50 for cash withdrawals. We usually take out €300 to €500 at at time to keep charges down. ;-)

slowdriver
I use Transferwise. Simply load up the euro account they provide, at the wholesale mid-market rate -.ie the rate quoted by the FT and Google, with a small charge, and then withdraw at the ATM with no charges. Plus you can do it into any currency. Plus the card you get is a Mastercard debit card so you can pay bills directly with it.
Guest rael
We also have TransferWise. It actually provides a Euro bank account so you can top up with Euros throughout the year when the rate is good, as it was last week. Also have a FairFx, but the rates are not as good.
