sreve
Hi I have a sumvision cyclone 3 media player that has just bitten the dust!!! It was a great little peice of kit that went between the tv and my external hard drive,it connected via usb to the tv so worked off 12 volt (perfect for wild camping) and could play all types of file. They haven't made them for a few years now and were replaced by the cyclone 4 but this only works on mains power which seems a step backwards. I think i can get a 2nd hand cyclone 3 for about £15, but does anyone out there know of aby other media player that uses 12 volt power cia a usb from the tv. Deneb
I have a Cyclone Micro 4 and it can be powered via USB directly from a TV or a separate USB power socket, or from a 240v mains adapter. This video shows the DC power port that can either be powered from a compatible USB to power jack connector cable or from the 240v adapter. I think the USB power cable was bundled with mine, but the cable was very thin and I bought an more robust one from Amazon.
