John52
Michel Barnier has tested positive, reducing further the chance of a deal before BoJo's self imposed deadline, and increasing the chance of a cliff edge no deal brexit on top of Cornovirus, and BoJo's £325 billion handout to failing bars and restaurants. What could go wrong *-)
Barryd999
Hope he recovers ok. Its madness even considering going ahead with Brexit now. Just agree to extend and forget about it.
Bulletguy
At 69 Michel Barnier is in a high risk category. Johnson was asked about a transition delay but claims 'current law prevents ministers asking for one'. I think thats his way of saying he doesn't want one. https://tinyurl.com/u5jp6x9
thebishbus
As Europe is approaching meltdown, and fortunately we are no longer members of the EU, we could just walk away from the negotiations for now,and spend our money solving our own problems, if and when the World recovers start negotiations again with whats left of the EU. John52
thebishbus - 2020-03-19 5:02 PM spend our money solving our own problems, BrianB. We have already promised payments to the EU and we need to trade with them because we are not self sufficient. Should we welch on our existing deal and then ask them for another one that suits us better *-)
