Looking at the map on the lCC web site at http://www.lincoln.gov.uk/servedoc.asp?filename=Car%5Fparking%5Fcharges%5Fand%5Flocation%5Fmap%5F2006%5F07%2Epdf it appears that Tentercroft is fairly near the railway station. Don't know where it is in relation to the railway station, but you can park free by the river/canal, and that is five minutes walk to town centre.
