Randonneur Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 I howie has ticked the box "remember my password" on the login screen then if he clicks on the box the password will come up but only in dots.
Randonneur Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 There is also a facility to contact the Administrator on the login screen and I am sure that if he does this then his problem will be solved. Sylvia
Wingpete Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 If Howie has used correct password, there is no good reason for being unable to post replies, but IF he had upper case key on, that may be reason for block. I did that some time ago on another forum.
michele Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Good One , Upper Case never though of that ? ;-)
Tony Jones Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Still no sign of Howie? Hope he's not lost beyond reach of rescue in cyberspace! Howie - if you can read this, if all else fails would it be worth "re-registering" under slightly different version of your name? "Top-Cat" did it! Tony
Guest starspirit Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Howie Howie where have you gorn not having you just makes us forlorn we miss your sharp wit you jolly old (chap?) so come back and join us 'cos all is forgiven

Guest starspirit Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Now Howie's the invisible man he don't seem to have any plan to get back to the world that's gone quite absurd while he has gone off down the pan.
michele Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 For he's a jolly good fellow all join in now cmon. howie if your reading this Mr Mod sent you an e mail today he said you ain't replied to him.. C MON sort it out in a london accent :D
Guest starspirit Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 So Howie has gone and is much lamented shame that the codger is quite so demented perhaps he'll return and I'll get some flack but hey never mind I'll be glad when he's back to torment us all with his wisdom perverse and often suspicious rhymes and bad verse
flicka Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Howie If you're seeing this, when the Administrator sends you an e-mail with your password, use the link (if included) and then when you have logged on OK save to your favorites. You should be able to use that to keep returning to the forum. I'm fairly sure that's how Michele manages to get in without having to enter her password every time. Also save the password reminder e-mail to a specific Folder and it should not lost with time. Flicka

howie Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Thanks for your help Michele, and to Mike and the guys at forum admin. Not sure what the problem was but I could not get my password accepted. I didn,t forget it and when I asked for confirmation there was no reply as my e.mail address had disappeared as well. Explained all this to Mike and he got it sorted for me and he obviously has a talent for dealing with idiots. Off to bed now to consider some of the replies to your thread. I,ll try and keep a fair and open mind on these, especially those touching rhymes. Take care. ;-)
howie Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Forgetting my manners. Thanks for all the other constructive advice as well. :-)
Tony Jones Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Welcome back Howie. What was it like out there in the real world? Tony
