Paul worms
(?) Many of you with Trumar Boilers will be aware of the modifications to certain models that are needed. I have been waiting for several weeks for the part to be delivered to to the local Trumar agent, it seems that there are non available in the UK. The statement from Trumar reads " Please do not use your heater unti etc etc". As I am going on holiday in the four weeks and these parts are still not available, do I cancell my holiday and will Truma compinsate me? as it is their fault!!!!! Well I am going to phone Truma on Tuesday and see what their answer is, will let yopu know the reponse, :-D
Bazza454
Hi Paul,I think that you should contact Truma direct asap, they have a decent reputation dealing with their customer queries/faults.They will also arrange to do the modification at their site in Derbyshire. http://www.trumauk.com/contact-truma-uk/
Brian Kirby
I agree. I know one person who has done just that, taken the van to Truma, and was very impressed with their service. I can't imagine what the "unavailable in UK" problem part can be, since Truma know exactly what to replace, and no one else seems to have run into supply problems. Could be a temporary supply problem, of course, but it could also be your local dealership making heavy weather of it!Give them a ring, tell them the problem, and ask if they can fit you in. I'm sure they will if they can. However, do be aware that these boilers can be fitted in some very funny places. That is not Truma's fault, they give quite clear installation guidance - which few motorhome makers respect. So, if you're going to be pressed for time, you may find you can save some by removing as much as possible of the bed base/cabinet work imprisoning the heater before you set off. At least the Truma technicians will then be able to spend their time fixing the heater - and not dismantling the interior of your van!
keithzx12r
Just make sure you have your boiler serial number handy when you ring them otherwise they can't help. Keith

Supertractorman
I only live 5 miles away from their factory and rather than go to my Dealer they were happy to do it on their site. They did mine in half an hour while I had a great breakfast in their canteen. Another couple were having the conversion done on their Hymer, and the engineers told me it was hard work as the boiler was hidden away, and they had to strip off parts to get to it, so I think that would be all morning.
