flyboyprowler
We are thinking of getting an air fryer as a back up for the van. The power consumption is important, so at 1700 watts, and on EHU, will the fryer work normally? I think a kettle is around 2000 watts, so the fryer should be ok to use on its own? Also, any recommendations for a fryer, especially capacity would be appreciated.
Alanb
Electrically there should be no problem, provded that the EHU bollard is adequately rated. (6A would be insufficient.) We have not found air fryers to be the most reliable items of domestic equipment. Alan
robertandjean
We use a Tower brand air fryer in our van with no problems, but it is only1000 watts. This means we were able to use on French Aires where ehu was 5 or 6 amps,. Had over a year and no reliability issues and find very useful.

I am looking at a 3.5 litre model as there are only two of us, but some friends have just bought a 10 litre one for their van, and I wonder if 3.5 will be enough? robertandjean
Ours is 2.2 litre capacity and find that is fine for two of us. 10 litres is going to need full power ehu and be rather bulky!
