regmcm
Good Moaning al..... We are 3 weeks into our epic journey to Turkey. Currently just south of Milan and we have only just realised that our truma system is not giving us the option of switching to electric when plugged into the mains. I have read the manual and looked online and it should give is the option to have full electric or combi gas/electric? but when turning the dial it does not even go to the gas icon to allow us to change? am i missing something here? cheers MMC
Robinhood
If you have never had the option available, are you sure you have a CombiE, and not the gas-only Combi? (The latter is by far the most common default option on continental 'vans not originally destined for the UK market).
buddy
Is it possible that there is a seperate switch to allow mains power to the Truma system , as there is with the earlier models. (if it is the E model )
Derek Uzzell
The relevant Truma instructions are shown on the image attached below. If a Combi heater is the ‘non E’ gas-only type (which, as Robinhood has said, has been the norm for motorhomes with a Continental European specification) energy source selection won’t be possible, as gas will be the only available energy source. (Before the CP Plus panel was introduced, it used to be obvious if a Combi was the “E” version as there were two rotary control switches instead of one.) Steve928
buddy - 2020-10-18 9:41 AM Is it possible that there is a seperate switch to allow mains power to the Truma system , as there is with the earlier models. (if it is the E model ) With no 230V connected to a Combi-E it is still possible to select the 'MIXn' and 'ELn' energy sources but an error code will result if the selected energy source is unavailable when heat is called for.
