Pete-B Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Whilst the van will be in storage during the coming lockdown, what is the lowest voltage I could let the batteries rundown to before it causes them some damage? Thanks.
Derek Uzzell Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 If the batteries are normal 'wet-acid’ type, a reading of 12.1 Volts seems to be widely quoted as representing a state of charge approaching 50% - which is about as low as is recommended you go. The trouble is that accurately establishing the state of charge may not be straightforward while the battery is in situ in the motorhome and (quite possibly) powering something.
