When did Her Majesty's Armed Forces become ours?

As far as I knew they still have to swear their allegiance to her, not to us.

Why do we still call them hers, if they are ours?

PS: I suppose its necessary to point out because her forces were there once does not mean conditions are good enough for them now.

The Police Force swear an oath to the Queen ... Does that mean they aren't ours either ... Just all hers ???

Does the number devoted to guarding her palaces (compared to the number guarding your home) give you a clue?

The law says a mans home is his castle

Which is supposed to mean that the law protects the paupers home as much as one of Her Unelected Majesty's Castles

So why aren't they giving the rest of us the same protection as the Royal Hangers On ?

Given "Her Unelected Majesty" is asked to carry out duties on behalf of all of us she deserves protection doesnt she??? ... I dont seem to remember the public making much of a fuss about it unless you can show otherwise
