Barryd999 Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Birdbrain - 2020-11-13 7:15 PM ... You said this week ??? ... Not just a deal but the deal you detailed ... Waiting I told you yesterday there had been some slippage. The unofficial deadline is now the 19th (as I also said). All the signs are there. The two advisors that wanted a full fat Brexit gone, Trump gone, deadline extended and talk of a Transition extension (I never believed that one). The date whether its a week late or two is irrelevant. Its whether or not it proves to be exactly or near enough to what I posted thats important. Just wait and see.

Well there has been a lot going on so as I said its maybe slippage but I would say all the signs are there that something is going to happen. Lets face it, there has been delay after delay after delay in just about everything including Brexit so you will just have to be patient to find out if "My government insider" is full of s**t or not.

I don't understand why he's so concerned either way. He just voted leave, deal or no deal. So he should be deliriously happy now, without a care in the world. And yet, here he is, day after day, fretting over when it will be. It's like that little voice from the back seat, repeatedly saying "are we there yet, Daddy?"! :-D

It's just the insistent whinging about something that neither Barry, nor his source, could possibly know for certain, and certainly don't control. What does it achieve? What is the point? Just so you can "triumph" in some petty way, or something worthwhile discussing? Surely we all know that a deal is only done when both sider are satisfied with the outcome of the negotiations. Until then they continue negotiating. If good progress had been made across a number of issues, then anyone within earshot might assume the end was near - until.............................. Off-record briefings are just that. Nudges and winks. Treat them as such. Then you won't build unrealistic expectations.

They got their precious blue passports back, something we could have had when in the EU, but thats about all. *-)

A more dour miserable bunch of winners I have never met. (lol) There was and is no vision for Britain post Brexit: only a fixation on achieving Brexit. So, having achieved the first objective, all they are faced with is fog and uncertainty. That sows doubt and anxiety. That is what they "won"! I fear there are going to be a lot more people suffering buyer's remorse, as time passes. I'm still waiting for someone (anyone) to set out that vision. The longer I wait, the more I become convinced that there isn't one. I think we are rudderless, drifting, and reliant for our future direction on chance.
