8-) In answer to the numerous questions the under 3500 LCV will be £175 ( unless engine is new EURO IV compliant when it is £110) and I quote from the Revenue document for over 3500 it will be-

>VED rates for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Special Types Vehicles,

Combined Transport Vehicles and all vehicle categories that are linked to the basic goods rate will be frozen.

Changes to this year’s VED rates will take effect from 22 March 2007.<

There is no CO2 table for commercials. (lol)

Hi Passionwagon,

Thanks for that info, that's what I thought but Brian thought it might be £180 for 3500 Kg and under.

Notice you are located 'Somewhere in Norfolk' - gave me a bit of a chuckle, that's the sort of answer I usually get from my wife, when we get lost and before we used SatNav (lol)

Regards Terry

8-) There are only two VED taxation bands for motorhomes-

a- under 3500kgs known as PLGV private light commercial vehicles

b- over 3500kgs known as PHGV private heavy goods vehicles.

Seems the over 3500 brigade are going to be evn better off 2008/2009!

BUT do not tell the authorities let us keep very quiet. >:-)

Surely the concessional rate for Euro 4 compliant vehicles only applies to those registered between 1 March 2003 and 31 December 2006. As all new vehicles have to be compliant, Gordon Brown changed the rules again so there is no longer any concession.
