A family member needed a general purpose multimeter and I bought one of these -

750V AC/1kV DC Handheld Multimeter with Bluetooth - MP730026 https://cpc.farnell.com/multicomp-pro/mp730026-eu-uk/handheld-dmm-with-bluetooth/dp/IN08399 [/url].

I was so impressed with it that I bought another one for myself for the motorhome (to supplement the UT210E DC clamp meter!) .

It was about £34 and includes a temperature probe and test cables. Its main benefit (for me at least) is that you can connect it to an android device via bluetooth, so for example, I can connect it to my leisure battery located at the back of the van and view the readings while starting the engine from the drivers seat. The phone app also can display a time plot which could also be very useful. The non-contact voltage detector might also be handy for safely checking the presence of EHU voltage.

If you are looking a useful multimeter for the motorhome (or just something for an xmas present), this is worth considering.
