Despite lockdown the latest figures show the number of deaths in England and Wales with coronavirus mentioned on the death certificate has soared by 40% in just a week. 8-)

Today's grim figure of people who have died after testing positive for Covid-19 is the highest number since May.

The overall death toll in the UK is now 52,745 and the total number of positive cases stands at 1,410,732....the worlds fifth worst. :-|

Unfortunately its far more than that when you count excess deaths.

Which begs the question what have we spent hundreds of £billions for

Perhaps but Europe didnt cover up the spread of theirs though did they? No, what they did as did the WHO is scream at the UK when we were two weeks behind to do something and lock down. What did Johnson do? Nothing. Waffle waffle bumble bumble "Take it on the chin", "Nothing wrong with shaking hands", "fcuk me Ive caught coronavirus and we have the worst death rate in the world". 8-)

Not fake news at all. At one stage in May thanks to the lack of action by your moronic leader the UK had the worst death rate in the world. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/coronavirus-uk-death-toll-rate-world-map-tracked-a9532286.html

Firstly Parasiteman Chinese Communists are not "my chums". The only Chinese I know are a hard working family who run my local takeaway which serves excellent food. I trust with your rabid dislike of Chinese you never buy any Chinese meals or purchase anything made in China? Secondly Communists are certainly your chums as I keep having to remind you as they are your fellow Brexiters.

As usual you provide no evidence on your claim based on wild conjecture from spurious conspiracy websites. China was reporting about it by the end of December 2019 and had made WHO aware at the same time. The first death recorded was on January 11th 2020 and by 11th March 2020 WHO declared it a pandemic.

https://www.who.int/news/item/29-06-2020-covidtimeline

With our own atrocious handling of the pandemic you're attempting to defend the indefensible purely for no other reason than you see it as an "attack" on your Brexit God, Johnson because for you, nothing else matters and the pandemic has merely been an inconvenience and the resultant deaths, collateral damage. That's how flippant and dismissive your attitude throughout has come across almost as though Covid has interfered with your precious Brexit.

Johnson isn't entirely to blame for governments inept handling of Covid, but he is PM and, no doubt guided by Cummings, chose to surround himself by pro-Brexit ministers who would nod and bow without question. That shows very poor leadership and you cannot say you were not warned about that.

I just drilled down into the stats for Country Durham. I live on the North Yorkshire (Richmondshire) border and Barnard Castle which is in Teesdale country Durham is my nearest small town. If ever there was a case of stopping people moving from place to place under lockdown here it is. Just look at the stats for Bishop Auckland which is just 12 miles north of here then look at Teesdale and Barnard Castle. Jeesaz! Is there any of that wall left that Trump was building? Im gonna stick a bid in and build it around Bishop.

Plenty as he only got round to building 12 miles of it and much of that is just fence. You need to start erecting a Durham wall along the lines of the Berlin wall to stop your own folks from leaving and outsiders from coming in! Next in line is to build a Stasi network of people loyal to Richmond so you can keep tabs on any subversives.

How does Bishop Auckland, Barnard Castle and Upper Teesdale square up with population and population density ???

Bishop about 24000, Barnard Castle about 5000 but I assume whoever calculated this has worked that out as a percentage as the figures are per 100000. Durham City has a population of 65000 but its way down compared to Bishop at around 262 per 100000 and 38 cases over the 7 day period.

There is a pattern though if you read the entire chart (That was just a screen shot of part of it). The poorer areas are the hardest hit. Dunno about Upper Teesdale. Probably about 10 and 50000000 sheeps.

No not really. Bishop is a bit of a dump but not all of it and its mainly houses but yes, there will be a fair few council estates but a lot of terraced housing in north Bishop and counden where its the worst. This was a key seat for the Tories in the last election. Half their new baby Tories will be dead at this rate.

Well probably that there is a link to an increase in infections in poorer areas where perhaps people are more likely to be on top of each other, mix more, work in jobs where close contact is less avoidable, shop every day, larger families in smaller houses, flats etc. There also seems to be more rule breaking in these areas. What do you take from these findings?
