AED
Thanks, yes I saw that one . I have a Fiamma door frame security lock from a previous Coachbuilt, but the habitation door opened out , of course ,and was easy to fit, and I cannot see a way of fitting it to my sliding door easily. Derek Uzzell
A GOOGLE-search on "van sliding door lock" will retrieve several potential candidates (external or integrated in the door). For example https://www.avrmobiles.co.uk/acatalog/security-locks-for-vans-fitted.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxN22uriW7QIVGPhRCh1yZQzPEAAYASAAEgLJ0_D_BwE Have you got a particular make/model/year of van in mind or is this just a general enquiry? AED
It`s for my brand new latest shape Renault auto Master van conversion, so I am wary of drilling too many holes in it. Alan.

Alan. On our works vans there was one like this fitted inside at the rear of door which when trying to open door it wouldn't allow door to move out so it couldn't slide back worked well. https://tinyurl.com/y5nw9aw9
