John52 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 As have Primark But who in Government gave it to profitable businesses in the first place? and should the long suffering taxpayer have to rely on them to be public spirited enough to pay it back?
John52 Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Maybe the middleman who got £30 million for passing on a bum deal PPE contract will pay it back *-)
John52 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Sainsburys and Morrisons now voluntarily given us some of our money back Maybe Asda, Aldi & Lidl will too???? But why do we have to rely on reputable businesses to pay back what they should never have been given in the first place? And what of the £billions paid out secretly to disreputable cronies for hugely over priced, useless / non existent PPE When will we get that back? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/dec/03/sainsburys-hands-back-440m-in-covid-business-rates-relief
John52 Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Kingfisher now returned theirs But why were they given it in the first place? And what of those who won't return it because they have no reputation to lose?
