Brittany Ferries to Spain severely limiting pet travel

Jubilant to find crossings available to Spain on the new Galicia ferry. No pet friendly cabins available, however, yet the website says that pets can be left in your vehicle. Then I noticed this new ferry is a 2 night crossing! Checked by phone and told no pets possible in the vehicle. Apparently a multitude of would be travelers begging to get a pet cabin with zero availability. Be warned, there is nothing to explain this on the Brittany website.

Really, the implications of this are poor for Brittany. Our vet advises that passports will fall away and the you need to apply for a vet clearance certificate AT LEAST 3 months before you travel. This is not open ended and means you repeat the process before each and every trip. I have waited weeks and weeks for a rabies result on my inocculated cat, I cannot book without a definitive result and than only for 3 months later. I hope Carrie Symonds and Johnson plan to take their pooch somewhere in Europe to experience these dilemmas.

You must have missed them those cabins usually go in first few hrs theres also mention of kennels and exercise deck but obviously no use to a cat

Pet-friendly 4 berth/ large 2 berth inside cabin

These Standard Plus cabins are air-conditioned with ensuite facilities and have laminate flooring with space for a standard size animal bed.

Have you seen the price of a covid test for yourself there's mention of 150 £ to 250 £ as you need one done no more than 72 hrs before you arrive in Spain so if ferrys delayed it'll be out of date when you arrive in Spain

Yes thanks. Best price 145.00. I flew from Malaysia recently, needed a test within 72 hrs of flight, cost me £32.00 with reply within 24hr. Even in a pandemic, no stone unturned to rip you off.
