StuartO Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Most of the threads on Chatterbox begin with a statement of prejudice (attached loosely to an item of news) which provokes a familiar and entirely pointless ping pong session of other people's prejudiced attitudes, none of which contain any original or useful thoughts - which is why I've taken to automatically skipping and abandoning any thread which has those charactaristics. Prejudiced and partisan though our regular contributors to Chatterbox may be they are not stupid, so I imagine if they could ever be tempted to try what I would call a grown up discussion, we might all start learning something. So how about, next time someone launches a thoughtful thread, everyone tries to resist the temptation to mount the usual hobby horse, tries to read the posts properly and respond in a thinking way? Just Sayin' .......
colin Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 So that explains why you didn't see the KB thread, I must admit I rarely read those threads unless at a loose end.
jumpstart Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Though there aren’t many people on here ,i experimented with posting various different topics to see what other than Trump and Brexit people would comment on. Basically its Trump and Brexit and some Boris.
