colin Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Funny enough due to the position of wall lamps in our house, and the fact we often have to use them midday, we have been using 'energy saving' bulbs soon after their appearance, one of their main features have been the greatly extended lives compared to the old bulbs. Also they are great for inspection lamps, at work we used to get throu loads of old bulbs, replace them with energy saving and I'm not sure any have ever blown since. p.s. Is it LED? if so we have a couple of Aldi ones, if they don't come one switch off then on again.

Bulletguy Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 I get the impression the OP started this daft thread because he wanted to boast about his retro lampshade. *-) I'm more surprised to find he has electric lights and thought he would have gas mantles.
