Peter42 Posted March 29, 2007 Share Posted March 29, 2007 Hi Namesake, I have been to Spain and Portugal a few times and have never found any equilevant to the French Aires de Repos. Perhaps I was just unlucky. Wild camping in remote areas is accepted but I wouldn't want to guarantee your safety in all circumstances. Anywhere you feel ill at ease, don't stay. On the coast one often saw two or three 'vans wild camping together, so guess there may well be safety in numbers. sorry, cannot advise otherwise.
