stevec176
I'm looking to buy a pair of Mirror Guard protectors at £135, does any one have a discount code I could use please. Tried searching the net but couldn't find anything. Thanks
Matrix Meanderer
Never seen a discount code for this company. Only discount he gives is at the shows and then IMO it's only £10 or so. Good product so well worth the price.
stevec176
I've never found a discount code on line but when I get to the checkout page there's a slot for entering a Coupon Code so just thought I'd check before continuing my purchase. Derek Uzzell
There’s a 2014 on-line refernce to a discount code for “Mirror Guard” protectors when these were being marketed by Outdoor Bits. However, I think the Mirror Guard manufacturers only sell their products direct in the UK nowadays. As you rightly say, the checkout process does include the capability to apply a ‘coupon code’, but there’s no information about this. Why not ask Mirror Guard? https://www.mirrorguard.co.uk/contact/ CONTACT MIRROR GUARD Address: 2 LIPPINCOTTS, WEST BUCKLAND, WELLINGTON, SOMERSET TA219NA Phone: 07971 654936 Email: info@mirrorguard.co.uk ................................................................................................................ stevec176
I have actually emailed twice asking about discounts for club membership etc and didn't even get a reply, obviously selling enough that they don't need to care about prospective customers. ColinM50
I've got the Milenco one's bought at a show for £60 and they're great. just Googled and found this offger, 5% off if ordered today. Not huge but if £3 isn't important to you, I'll give you my bank details and you can send it to me. stevec176
Thanks Colin, if you'd like to put your bank details on here that will be fine. Have currently got Milenco covers, had them for about 4 years and they do work but they are so mis coloured they need changing.
Derek Uzzell
The proprietor of Mirror Guard has informed me that their website is an ‘off-the-shelf’ application that came with the coupon-code feature built in. He had asked the vendor of the application whether the coupon-code feature could be removed and been told that it could not. He confirmed that they have never offered a discount on on-line purchases of their products. I was told that, nowadays, Mirror Guard sells direct to individuals and also supplies to a few motorhome dealerships. There don’t seem to be other on-line complaints about colour problems with the (presumably white) Milenco covers, but a comparison between the Milenco product and the Mirror Guard equivalent should make it very apparent that there is a significant difference in the material used in each case. My Rapido’s white Mirror Guard protectors look exactly the same as when they were fitted in 2015.
ColinM50
Odd. Mine are white and coming up to four years old and as good as new
Derek Uzzell
Assuming that Milenco mirror protectors are made from ABS and Steve’s are white and have started to yellow, ‘de-yellowing’ them might be attempted. http://tinyurl.com/27aag6pe https://www.instructables.com/Restoring-yellowed-Stormtrooper-armor/
stevec176
Thanks Derek for the instructions but mine are past cleaning due to visiting Cornwall last year and their very narrow roads and wide hedges, gouged to death. As there's definitely no discounts available I'd best get on and place my order, thanks all.
