KD
can anyone tell me if you can take dogs without any of the injentions and paperwork you need for going abroad, if you are going to southern Ireland or the isle of wight.

g4oip
Does this mean that if you travel to continent from these places you get round the current regs?
Guest starspirit
Now you're being silly - not a chance - and certainly not worth the risk unless you like being refused entry.
Norma
Now I'm not sure - but I think the restrictions are mainly about bringing them back into the UK rather than taking them out. So no documentation means quaranteen for 6 months. Don't wish to find out!
dslinkert
As far as I know you can take out your dog and cat out of the uk to mainland europe but the UK imposes restrictions on animals brought into the country
foxy
Just come back from Ireland having spent a month touring. No problem with dog although in the south the pub owners were not keen on letting him in
Clive
They still have hydrophobia (rabies) in Mainland Europe but I am not sure about Ireland. Previous threads have covered this topic in some detail, including suitable vets in Calais you may need to visit before your return to the UK.
