fesspark
Does anyone have the answer to our electric igniter not working on Our 3 ring hob, ? I am hoping I can fix it myself? fesspark
747
Mine happened because the operating switch failed. They are available online. It was an awkward job on my Burstner as it still had a 12 volt supply (despite turning off all the 12 volt power) and no spare length in the wiring. I got the odd short and sparking but fixed it with the new switch.

buddy
There may be a dedicated fuse on the 12v fuse board for the igniter , as I have on my van.
Trainsomill1982
As buddy said, check the fuse first. Alternatively you can replace the igniter in most cases and depending on your stove - and how technically minded you are - it can be done fairly easily and would take you 30 mins - 1h to fix. Does the igniter "click" when you try to ignite?
