doonhamer Posted April 12, 2007 Share Posted April 12, 2007 I'm planning a 9/10 month trip through France and Spain and the family want to visit for the Xmas week and hopefully get some mid winter sun. We are only a two berth so I need to find a good site preferably near Marbella with reasonably hotel accomodation nearby. I would be grateful for any suggestions. RonB Posted April 14, 2007 Share Posted April 14, 2007 Stewart - The campsites in the Marbella area are a sorry lot I'm afraid, they seem to work on the principle that you have the sun, what more do you want? Last winter we took to an apartment due to their awful condition, which had nothing to do with weather conditions. If you must, Marballa Playa (12k East of Marbella) is probably the 'best', followed by Camping Cabopino (14k East) which has a few decent pitches. Off-camp facility wise Cabopino scores with an excellent resturant at its entrance and a small marina complex within a short walking distance. Have fun.
