I don't know why the plymouth nutter went off on one.

And I can say I haven't a clue because I am not setting myself up as an expert like the psychiatrists trying to sell their services.

They seem to be saying it was a hatred of women.

But not explaining why he shot men as well?

All I can suggest is to stop giving gun licences to people who kill for pleasure.

But that seems a non starter for this Government who are in hoc to the hunting lobby. :-(

More than one - and would they have got a gun if they hadn't been given a licence?

I don't pretend to be an expert.

If I was trying to hire myself out as an expert or psychatrist I suppose I would have to pretend I know more than I do.

But common sense would suggest that if you give a gun licence to people who kill for pleasure - (they call it hunting/sport or in Prince Andrew's case 'just a normal shooting weekend') then when they feel they have nothing left to lose they will go off on a rampage. Just like Derek Bird shot his brother over a grudge, then went off killing at random because he had nothing left to lose.

I don't know why people are saying it was a hatred of women, (unless its to further their own agenda) because they killed men too.

There is cross party support for responsible gun ownership, so trying to blame one party is nonsense.

On the face of it D&C licencing appears to have broken the guidelines in returning his guns, if not in granting him a SGC in the first place.

Have they stated why they returned them as I can't find anything on that. I know why they took them away, but not why they gave them back to him seven months later.

Don't expect them to say anything until there's some sort of enquiry.

But what sort of person wants to kill for pleasure?

If they refused a gun licence to everyone who is a bit iffy they would never grant any -

except to a few livestock farmers

& possibly a very few others I haven't thought of?

If they enjoy killing animals why woudn't they enjoy killing people - once they have got nothing left to lose..

Which proves you don't know what you are talking about as usual

Because you don't know how long these unfortunate ctreatures will take to die

Some of these people even have servants to put toothpaste on their toothbrush

If it was for food why wouldn't they get their servants to do it?

Or just go and buy it from the supermarket like the rest of us?

So you haven't got a scooby as to how the countryside works or who have FAC/SGC's, or come to that what much of the shotguns are used for.

Your food from the supermarket will have come from farms which utilise some of the 1/2 million owners of fireams for pest control purposes. How many of them are 'upper class'? well from my experiance very few.

No I don't know much about foxes or pheasants, its not relevant.

What is relevant and what I find so disturbing is the mentality of those who kill for pleasure.

Is that the extent of your knowledge of the countryside, foxes and pheasants? If so I can tell you they are just a tiny proportion of the pest killed for food production. Of cause this doesn't suit some peoples political agenda.

No I don't know much about the countryside.

But I can see the bleedin obvious

If they were being killed for food production there are more efficient ways of doing it than bringing the likes of Prince Andrew down with a retinue of servants and hangers on, dressing up, and taking pot shots at them.

There you go again, bringing in your anti royal agenda. What has that got to do with something overwhelmingly done by people who are not 'upper class' or part of the royals? Also you might like to know the the nutter in this case was issued a licence on the basis it was to shoot clay pigeons, they don't tend to suffer much!

Yesterday the two shooters who are helping us out at moment came just before first light, one an ex police armed response who has been stabbed twice in his duty of protecting the public, I can assure you neither fits your profile of a 'toff' taking pot shots, nor do I.
