Adiebt
The left hand side blind ( not windscreen ) has suddenly become “ difficult “ th retract into its cassette in that it needs “ teasing “ to fold away instead of retracting relatively fuss free . Any idea what has gone wrong and the solution / fix Many thanks in advance .
Albertslad
Hi Adiebt: I’m guessing it’s your Remis blind? I’d be tempted to remove the cassette from the door, and apply liberal doses of patience. You could do this in situ, but it’s probably not a very comfortable position. Maybe loads of patience anyway. If you’ve damaged he blind then a new one might be inevitable Regards
Adiebt
I dont think I’ve damaged it , it just doesn’t stay in the cassette and has to be teased back in to store .
Geeco
Adiebt, the Remis blind has a black plastic spine with two pivot points, one at the base of the blind and another part way along the spine. Suggest you spray the pivots with silicon spray to ensure they have free movement. From experience with my previous Autotrail you should be gentle as the pivots are not that strong and can & do break.cheers,
Adiebt
Many thanks , I’ve devised a way of retracting the blind by holding the mid section as I retract the blind so there may be a problem at this articulation point , I’ll have a closer look .
