Wingpete
Just had warning from Symnatec Virus protection, about a particularly nasty Trojan hose, that come in as an attachment, supposedly offering a preventative patch to prevent a worm invading your PC. This is the dodgy bit. The patch is the trojan horse. So don't open it or follow its advice to download patch. Block & Delete. I got to read the warning, which was only 3 emails prior to the Trojan. Just in time.
colin
This is a good reminder to say, NEVER EVER, open an attachment to email that promises to fix your pc, also don't click on links in an email to fix pc, or link to bank etc.
Sinners
Had the same thing last week. NTL/Virgin anti bad stuff couldn't fix it. Didn't want to use the recommended fix (the same one that broke it). I have Spyware Doctor, and with a free update and many hours scanning and re-booting, got rid of it.
