CurtainRaiser
"The TORY GOVERNMENT'S HUGE FUNDING of SERCO's and 453 OTHER COMPANIES' production of the Test and Trace system failed in its 'main objective', highly-critical report from committee of MPs finds." Absolute propagandist filth across the right-wing media today. The above thread title is an example. I have corrected the headline part in capitals above, which accurately reports the reality, which was not included in the right-wing media. Instead, they included in the headlines the single word "NHS". That's right, that's how the Tories and their right-wing media allies work. Gouge £37 billion and counting out of the public purse to give to hundreds of hooky right-wing beneficiaries in a totally inadequately audited manner. Then blame it all on the NHS, the one shining light in our COVID experience, so you can then use that false blame to justify continuing to privatise the NHS. I'm sure Pelmethead is ready to inform us all as to how the cost of the Serco scheme compares to our European neighbours?

With their Tory supporting media of course they can simply get away with it as clearly their supporters just lap it up and continue to soak up the propaganda like a sponge. CurtainRaiser
Mission to Mars = £2.5 Billion. Serco Test and Trace = £37 Billion. Only one of these worked, they're laughing at us on Budget day.

By my calculations that could have built over half a million council houses But then they wouldnt be able to spaff it all away to their Tory supporting chums, partners, mates down the pub that suddenly become PPE importers etc etc etc. The list is endless and £37b only goes so far you know these days! CurtainRaiser
In 2010 The Academies Act allowed Michael Gove to give Academy Schools land deeds from local government. Gove helped them get the land by borrowing £500 Million to pay their legal fees. Ancillary land, playing fields, buildings £66 Billion transferred! CurtainRaiser
So £37,000,000,000 is unaccounted for Suppose you (over-)paid 1,000 consultants £1,000 every day for 1,000 days - that adds up to £1,000,000,000 The people doing the tracing were paid minimum wage. Where is the REST? I suspect CORRUPTION on a huge scale
CurtainRaiser
A company was given over £100,000,000 to deliver diagnostic testing for a pandemic pathogen. No track record. No due diligence. Not UKAS accredited. No clinical oversight. Delivers 43 000 false -ve results. Directly leads to regional case rate spikes and hospitalisations Why isn’t every news outlet pursuing this. Why aren’t the leads of Test and Trace, DHSC, UKHSA being taken to task. Why is no one being held accountable for criminal negligence leading to avoidable deaths.

CurtainRaiser
"Dear John Penrose MP (Conservative), Anti-Corruption Minister. Any chance you could investigate the close links between 'NHS' Test and Trace and Serco? I see that the head of Test and Trace, Dido Harding (Conservative peer) gave £37 Billion to Serco to run their utterly s**te attempt at testing and tracing. The CEO of Serco, Rupert Soames is the brother of former Conservative MP, Nicholas Soames, and is married to Conservative donor, Camilla Dunne. The former Serco head of PR is the health minster, Edward Argar MP (Conservative). There was no bidding process for this £37 Billion of public money. Do you think that this head of Test and Trace should be investigated for corruption? Or would you rather not, seeing as you are married to her?"
