So the same must now apply to Snakey ;-) ..........

I can't remember. That's a long time ago.

Remind me:

Who are " the squad " - and what did they all say ?

:-|

It's an import from the US so doesn't really make sense in this country. Pelmet copies the US slingo from his boyfriend who thinks it makes him look cool and edgy.

It involved a group of Democrats who twit Trump tweeted should "go back to their country". Three of the four are American-born and the fourth (Omar) became a naturalized citizen in her youth, but far right nut jobs the world over have never been the brightest bulbs in the box. *-)

That explains it.

I didn't think there have ever been enough people on Chatterbox to form a squad.

As you can't tell me how many there are in a squad, I looked it up for you, and it seems that in the army its usually about 7 - 14 soldiers. Other armies may be different, but I didn't find any where it's only three.

No boat squadrons belong to the forum, so not sure what they have to do with this thread.

As you also didn't tell me what your imaginary squad said about Boris, or who they are, I assume you don't know.

;-)

p.s. My apologies Dave.

I've just realised that I've responded to your post when you are off-line - and I know that upsets you.

I do try to remember that you think I should wait at my PC until you sign on, but sometimes I forget.

Well he could follow Johnson's example I suppose?

Welcome Covid as a business opportunity.

Compare it to the common cold and visit hospitals and brag about shaking hands with Covid patients.

Return to number 10 and the Commons infecting ministerial colleagues and poor Mr Cummings

Due to his lack of fitness and obesity, end up bed blocking a intensive care bed.

In July, at great expense (£37,000,000,000) contracted by a Serco employee (being paid £9.50 per hour) and told he needs to self isolate, him and the Chancellor try to enrol themselves in a pilot programme, one no one else knew about. Only self isolating after a public outcry.

In August refuses to self isolate on trip to Scotland despite eight other people from his entourage having to.

Yes that's leadership that is.

No I dont think the usuals are going to give it Sure Queer Stammer like they gave it our PM ... Actually it looks like they are once again attacking our PM, unbelievable ... Personally I hope Sure Queer recovers quickly so he can get back to work and do what he does best ... https://news.sky.com/story/george-floyd-death-labour-leader-sir-keir-starmer-takes-a-knee-in-support-of-black-lives-matter-movement-12003611

Who told you Johnson had to isolate 5 times?

Why are you so angry you have to post the exact same thing within 4 minutes of each other??? ... Chuckle

Well is it fair of you to mock Boris Johnson for his stammer.

Just because he can't speak without stammering like Keir Starmer

Disgusting isn't it.

How many could refuse to shake hands with the Prime Minister if they wanted to keep their job ... or their employer's VIP Government contract.

Its worse than a lecherous boss abusing his position to grope the vulnerable young staff. >:-)

When Boris caught CV-19 I wished him well, at the time I didn't realise how much he hated the UK and how his policies helped kill the bravest generation of this fine country. I hang my head in shame, but not as much as the two people sitting next to me right now who voted Conservative at the last election and now wish him gone, and to be replaced with someone who has the UK's best interest at heart.

I don't know about that.

I think he only really cares about himself.

.. and the Irish PM summed Johnson up best when he said Boris Johnson would set the country on fire if his hands were cold.

He always has pooper scoopers to clean up after him.

Like he says its up to 'business' to sort out the Brexit crisis he has created.

.. and someone else to deal with the debts he rings up on our behalf

Covid is so rife now in the UK I am surprised every MP hasn't got it by now. Thanks to the Tories not giving a toss and it seems still pursuing their herd immunity strategy (which doesnt work by the way with this virus) we have one of the highest infection rates in the world and certainly the highest by many times in Western Europe.

So the same must now apply to Snakey ;-) ..........

Boris' downfall was not that he contracted Covid, it was that he bragged about ignoring the various social restrictions his government had imposed on the rest of the population, and as a direct consequence contracted Covid. The equivalent of a pratfall caused by stepping on a banana skin he had just, ostentatiously, dropped.

In short, in many peoples eyes, he got his just (though exceptionally rough) comeuppance. For the person, I suspect many held their breath, but for the braggart, few seem to have had that much sympathy.

Starmer has sought, AFAIK, no such exception for himself, so hasn't attracted the same level of criticism - instead attracted understanding and sympathy. As ye sow, so shall ye reap, as they say! :-D

" Boris' downfall ..... " ?

Bit of wishful thinking there Brian ?

Perhaps if he did resign, more leaders would come to the COP conference.

You dont remember him bragging about shaking hands in covid infected hospitals and talking about taking it on the chin etc then? You dont remember him doing nothing when the world and especially Italy were screaming at him to do something and lock down? Fortunately the rest of us sane folk do.

And in future, remember to back your wild claims up with credible evidence instead of making up stories.

There is still video on the net with evidence of him bragging last year, but I doubt if it's worth linking to it, because Dave will think it's fake.

His blind faith in Johnson is unshakeable - since he got Brexit done so smoothly.

Johnsons behaviour was despicable and totally irresponsible and the end result was inevitable.
