He said Johnson is "a great leader and a man with principles and fine family values who doesn't have lots of children.....people only need to have two children". Utterly bizarre phone call but this was a Johnson sycophant. :-| Did it sound like Grant Shapps / Michael Green ( etc ) ? ;-) He wasn't a full deck thats for sure....he came over as seriously unhinged and in need of sectioning. Barryd999
Bulletguy - 2022-02-01 5:36 PM John52 - 2022-02-01 12:21 PM Barryd999 - 2022-02-01 10:04 AM No doubt in the run up to the May elections we will start to see stories in the media of Starmer being a Terrorist or Chinese spy etc etc etc. Started already with Johnson blaming him for Sir Jimmy Savile OBE KCSG (not the Tory PM who got him knighted) 'Keir Starmer was doing an interview round too this morning, and he described Boris Johnson’s claim in the Commons yesterday that as DPP he had failed to prosecute Jimmy Savile as a desparate “slur”. (See 9.28am.) He told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: It’s a slur, it’s untrue, it’s desperate from the prime minister. I was really struck yesterday in the House at how many Conservative MPs were disgusted at that untruth from the despatch box. Of course on our side, people were disgusted. But his own MPs couldn’t believe their prime minister had stooped that low. He’s degraded the whole office. And this is how he operates. He drags everybody into the gutter with him. Everybody he touches, everybody that comes into contact with him is contaminated by this prime minister. Starmer also ridiculed Johnson’s refusal to say yesterday whether or not he was at the event in his Downing Street flat on 13 November 2020 that was reportedly a party with Abba music hosted by Carrie Johnson, his wife, to celebrate the departure of Dominic Cummings. Johnson told MPs yesterday that he could not answer, because this was a matter for the police investigation. Starmer told BBC Breakfast: What happened was the Metropolitan Police asked that the full report not be published at the moment, but the idea that that prevents the Prime Minister from saying whether he was at a party on a particular day is absolute nonsense. Absolute nonsense. I think the spectacle of the Prime Minister standing at the dispatch box being asked ‘Were you at this party on the 13th of November in your own flat?’ And he says ‘I can’t answer that because of the investigation’ ... He knows very well whether he was in the flat - and he’s taking us for fools. I think one of the features of this particular set of circumstances is not only did the Prime Minister and others break the rules, but they’ve taken the country for fools by insulting our intelligence in the cover-up that’s gone on since. Hoyle rebuked Johnson over that remark but imo he should have thrown him out of parliament as he did to Ian Blackford who correctly stated Johnson had lied and misled parliament. Everyone knows Johnson is a liar and lies in the HoC so Hoyle was wrong to tell Blackford to leave. The Savile trope has been concocted by far right extremists attempting to smear Sir Keir Starmer and this article explains the background to it. That trope belongs with the pond-life who spread it. They're as sick and twisted as the bloated buffoon who used it yesterday. https://tinyurl.com/2479ntvd It's also outraged many Tory MP's who are furious with him and apparently his intent had been known by some who strongly advised him against defamation, but Johnson only ever listens to himself. Jeeeesaz! I missed that. Been pretty busy these past couple of weeks. He is just totally disgusting. There is no limits to how low this man and his supporters will go. Like a cornered rat. A sewer rat. I think we should be prepared for much worse than this moving forward. We are not playing on a level playing field though. Johnson has the support of the largest section of the media and God knows what lies and stunts they will be prepared to peddle and pull in the next few months. Its vital that the public remain onside and see through the hatchet jobs that they are no doubt lining up.

Bulletguy
Well this won't end well for Johnson as he's angered Savile victims who are "universally appalled and disgusted" over the use of his "disgusting slur". Richard Scorer, a lawyer who represented many of the victims said they feel Johnson weaponised their misfortune to "climb out of a political hole" and want an apology. They also want the wrongful accusation to be withdrawn. Mr Scorer insists the accusations against Mr Starmer are "completely untrue" and it's "completely reprehensible" that Dominic Raab, the Deputy Prime Minister could not highlight the truth. Sir Keir has said he noticed at the time and was struck by the visible shock and disgust of many Tory MP's at Johnsons despicable untruthful slur. Lindsay Hoyle should have demanded an immediate withdrawal from Johnson, but he's a bit of a drip, especially as he'd kicked Ian Blackford out for saying Johnson had lied to the House, which he has....many times, and then allows Johnson to get away with a despicable untruthful slur. Dorries has been frantically attempting to rescue her beloved Boris saying "the prime minister tells the truth" 8-)8-) But then Dorries has always been mad as a box of frogs in need of psychiatric treatment and like Johnson, incapable of distinguishing between truth and lies. https://tinyurl.com/4sx7va5t

Or hasn't that penny dropped yet....Mr Guffalo? >:-) ........ Possibly, but not guaranteed. It's not Tories that I dislike, it isn't even Boris. As with all parties, there are good and bad among both the members and the MPs. What seems to me to have happened is that large numbers of ex UKIPpers, and Brexit Partyisters, joined the Tory party after the referendum, first in frustration at May, and particularly around Boris and his "get Brexit done" election. They seem to me to have changed the nature of the traditional, conservative, Tory party, into something quite alien to its traditional base. Some have since commented that "their party left them". As with Momentum and Corbyn in the Labour party, their familiar party was hi-jacked by outsiders. All the new intake seem to have wanted is a Brexit parliament, filled with Brexit MPs, to deliver Brexit. That they achieved, at the expense of MPs with wider ambitions than Brexit. Then, in 2019, they went out and elected them, to the tune of an 80 seat majority. So, what we now have as a government is the one note piano showman vote gatherer, with a cabinet of one note piano acolytes he chose specifically to deliver Brexit. Then, along came Covid, and they floundered hopelessly, partly because their leader is little more than a showman with little more than ambition to first become PM, and second "get Brexit done", and partly because he'd selected them as a cabinet that a) favoured Brexit and b) wouldn't argue too much with him. They are, almost without exception, to quote Jacob Rees-Mogg, lightweights. :-D So, the saviour of Brexit has become the victim of Covid, because he is basically a disorganised, chaotic, unthinking, morally degenerate, opportunist. There were other, IMO better, candidates in that leadership election, who I think would have been substantially safer hands when Covid arose, but they tended to be more ambivalent on Brexit, and undoubtedly less flamboyant, so they lost. So, we now have BRINO (Brexit in name only) because the agreement was signed, to paraphrase Theresa May, either unread, not understood, or on the assumption it wouldn't apply to him, by the same person who issued the Brexit lockdown rules on the same basis. (lol) It isn't his fault, he didn't make himself in that mould - the damage was done to him years ago, and I neither hate (to use one of your overworked expressions) nor despise him. I just don't want him as the Prime Minister of the UK because of the damage he has done, and is still doing, to this country. Have a look at CR's "Sorry John" Mail-on-line link, and see what the foreign press are saying about him and us. Is that world leading? Really? What seems to me to have happened is that large numbers of ex UKIPpers, and Brexit Partyisters, joined the Tory party after the referendum, first in frustration at May, and particularly around Boris and his "get Brexit done" election. That's exactly what has happened to the Tory party and Pelmet knows that.....after all he is an ex-UKIP/Brexit party supporter thats spread their poison within the Tory party. The filth never left their minds and they've simply migrated their vile ideology over to the Tory party and this mess now is the end result. I noted the use of the word 'power' rather than governance, the latter of which they have shown complete disrespect for in their rabid pursuit of the former. Tory activists have been urged to campaign like Trump by “weaponising fake news” "fighting wokeism" and talking “nonsense” (remind you of anyone in particular?) if it works, in a party newsletter. The bulletin sent out to members in Northamptonshire says “there are lessons that we can learn from Trump”, adding: “A lie can go round the world before the truth can get its boots on.” The newsletter says campaigners should view fake news as a technique that “crowds out genuine news” and allows “honest politicians” to be “pushed off the front pages”. “You say the first thing that comes into your head,” it reads, adding: “It’ll probably be nonsense, but it knocks your opponent out of his stride and takes away his headline." “You may get a bad headline saying that you spoke something silly, but you can live that down. Meanwhile your opponent is knocked off the news-feed” The bulletin concludes: “Sometimes, it is better to give the WRONG answer at the RIGHT time, than the RIGHT answer at the WRONG time.” Activists are also told that the lesson of the defeated US president is that “he Weaponises Fake News”. “If you make enough dubious claims, fast enough, honest speakers are overwhelmed. If someone tweets ten dubious claims per day and it takes you a week to disprove each one, then you are doomed,” it says. “Trump uses this tactic to dominate the news and to crowd out legitimate politicians.” https://tinyurl.com/2t959a85

CurtainRaiser
Coming thick and fast. Gary Streeter Statement on Boris Johnson and the Sue Gray Report. I previously made it clear in response to the many e-mails I have received about the parties in Downing Street that appeared to break Lockdown rules, that the wise thing to do was to await the report from Sue Gray. This has now been received (albeit in truncated form) and I have made my decision. I cannot reconcile the pain and sacrifice of the vast majority of the British Public during lockdown with the attitude and activities of those working in Downing Street. Accordingly, I have now submitted a letter seeking a motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister. I have not come to this decision lightly. It is not my intention to say any more about this matter. I will focus on serving the residents of South West Devon.
