Barry38
I decided to replace the outer casings on my door mirrors due to hedgerow scratches and general dull appearance on my 13 years old Peugeot Rythm. They are quite easy to remove but the replacements from the same on line company came at different times and are different sizes! They were both really nice quality and matched the originals perfectly. To my amazement the nearside mirror casing is 15mm taller than the driver's side. They are both original mirrors as supplied on the new vehicle and I have been informed that sometimes the manufacturers fit odd sized mirrors. Surely not! All other mirror parts fit exactly. In frustration I ordered a complete mirror unit and it too came the smaller size. Now I am confused - which one is standard and correct? Seems very bizarre to me. Anyone else had this experience with Sevel van conversion mirrors?
Conrad
Have you considered getting mirror protectors - would cover existing scratches and protect them from more serious damage?
