Dellboy1
Peugeot advantgrade 400 RL.03 plate. Looking for the hot water element, I see a plastic case under the seat at the back which looks like the tank could be in there, so do I have to take that off to get to the element? :-)
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. Online photos of 2003 Compass Avantgarde 400RL motorhomes indicate that the model had a Truma "Ultrastore" water boiler located towards the vehicle's left rear corner. The 230V heating element is the 'kettle' type and is installed horizontally towards the bottom of the water tank - this Truma video includes an image showing the element's position and this video describes how to replace it. (You withdraw the element through the side of the boiler, not from the top.) If you are lucky Compass will have positioned the boiler in your motorhome so that there is sufficient room to access and withdraw the element - otherwise the boiler will need to be displaced.
