I'm at serious risk of dying wealthy 8-) ..........

Although I will endeavour to P1ss as much of it as possible up against the wall, before the Donkey home gets it :D

How are you going to pish the equity in your wife's house up the wall? Are you going to sell it and move into your shed on wheels or the £30k Greenhouse? (lol)

He can't without his wifes permission. ;-)

Remember this is a bloke who ten years ago told the forum his "business" was "bumping along at the bottom" and living on "£14.5k pa and benefits". He lives in a parallel universe. :-S

My insurance for Horace with Saga has gone down by 180 quid B-) ..........

Could be Sagas registered office is in Gibraltar. (The brass plaque could do with a polish, not as

if a tin of Brasso couldn't be offset against the tax 'burden').

Your premium should have gone down by £220,ie commensurate with the decreased

level of risk borne by Sager in the Covid era. The extra £40 profit margin being discreetly concealed.

Still it must be conceded that Saga are to be congratulated in their efforts to maximise profits and

fulfil their raison de'tre, and for making you a happy client by deceiving you into actually convincing

yourself that you've 'saved' £180. Mirrors and wafts of smoke come readily, plus a measure

of self deception come readily to mind. LoL.

My Pru pension has gone up too ;-) .........

The only folk suffering from delusions are Remoaners :D ........

I'm as happy as Larry here in Brexit Blighty........Coz the only smoke I see is coming from my BBQ B-) ........

Strange. You must be the only holder of a Prudential Pension that hasnt seen it go down?

https://www.pruadviser.co.uk/funds/fund-performance/#

Mind all of those funds have had a piss poor performance over the last ten years 3.1 - 4.2% on average. Inflation for the same period averaged 1.78%, time you started looking for another wife to sponge off.

I'd say you need a Financial Advisor but its obvious from your previous posts that you wouldn't be able to understand what they told you, its a bit like GDP - when the Pru tells you your pension has gone up 7% you need to remember that it dropped a lot before that.

As Chancellor of the Exchequer you'd also expect him to know what a loan is......after all he's had some very expensive private education.

It seems he doesn't and this MP had to educate him. 8-)

..... and yet there are people who still can't see through him

They were asleep when Sunak & Johnson printed and spaffed £400bn to their cronies.

Devid even said be wasn't bothered about Paterson's bungs because he wasn't paying them.

And he wasn't bothered about all his money Johnson is sending to me to buy our votes and maintain Johnson's empire at his expense because it was only costing him .34p *-)

Wonder if they will wake up now they are having to pay for it

Or will they suck up the sh!te they are told about it all being down to Ukraine :-S

What makes you think its programmed with the tariff you are being charged?

I've had 3 'smart' meters in 6 years - because your Tory Government, whilst encouraging people to check the market and switch suppliers, let each supplier develop their own 'smart' meter that wouldn't talk to their competitors *-)

"Standard tariff" is a suppliers default rate which can go up or down......in this case yours will certainly be going up just as everyone elses has.

What makes you assume thats what its programmed for - and that its been updated to show todays 54% UK price rise (4% price rise for French customers, and about half the UK price for USA customers) ?

Like millions of others, I've jusr sent my readings through by email because experience has shown I can't even rely on them to read my Smart meter.

Yet you assume they have updated it with the new tariff you are paying today?

According to my 'smart meter' ;-) My daily electric bill is now £2.80, add in the cost of petrol and chainsaw oil our heating and electric will cost over £500 over the next 6 months, crunch time will come next autumn at this rate when there's expected to be another big rise.

Meanwhile couple of people I know have commented that the phone calls on future business have gone very quiet. :-(

Thought for the weekend:

"In 2007, on the eve of the financial crisis, the average Briton was richer than the average American. GDP per capita was $50,653 UK and $47,975 US. By 2019, on the eve of covid, the American figure was $65,280 while Britain’s was $43,070. In the decade or so after the financial crisis, America grew roughly 30% richer, while the UK became 20% poorer. The prosperity gap from the US to the UK is now the same size as the gap from the UK to Greece."

Austerity did that - and will do again - soon.

Worse than that because things like gas are half the price in the USA .

But perhaps the biggest difference is England's artificially inflated GDP figure?

The figure that politicians are most fond of quoting

For instance London's notorious car parking charges are counted as GDP

Wheras in a city where parking is free they don't add to the GDP figure

Same with rents...

House price inflation is effectively being counted as GDP

So you have a city with a large GDP figure where most people have a low standard of living.

But at least we have still got whats left of the NHS that Labour gave us.

But with Tory MPs hired to privatise it, and now over 6 million on the waiting list....

What they are spending on the NHS is as misleading as their GDP figure

because it takes no account of who they are giving our money too...

and for what.....

I'll try again *-)

What makes you think your smart meter has been updated with the prices you are paying?

-------

Spanish owned "Scottish" power have been asking me for readings because they couldn't even read my 'smart' meter, the third I have had in 6 years. Because your Tory government neglected to ensure the meters we are paying for could be read by all suppliers.

So the meters are nearly as useless as the other crap we have bought, test & trace, PPE, etc etc

Who do you think is paying for all this *-)
