FoxyRani
I have an Autotrail V line 680 s motorhome registered in 2021 as new. I need to change the driver side tail light. How do I do it? I can't find anything online. Please advise. Thanks
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. You should find guidance on replacing rear-light-cluster bulbs in the "REPLACING AN EXTERIOR BULB" section (refer to the main index) of your Fiat Ducato Owner Handbook. You'll need to remove the complete driver-side rear-light-cluster to replace the bulb. This June 2021 forum thread https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Help-Broken-rear-light-cluster/58417/ discussed replacing the rear-light-cluster of a 2020 Peugeot Boxer-based panel-van motorhome and the general principles involved should also apply to your 2021 Fiat Ducato-based panel-van motorhome. As should be evident from that forum thread, the task itself is relatively simple in principle, but access to the rear-light-cluster's fixing nuts can be challenging. The interior layout of the 680-S model (twin rear side-settees) indicates that there should be no large furniture inhibiting access to the cluster from inside the motorhome. However, it's to be expected that Auto-Trail will have fitted 'cosmetic' covers of some sort and that these will need to be removed to reach the cluster's fixing nuts. If you remove the the backrest of the rear seat on the driver-side, hopefully a cover (or access hatch) will become visible. Good luck...

PhilnShaz
Surely this is still under warranty if it was only registered last year. Dealer should do this free of charge.
Derek Uzzell
I'm pretty sure that Fiat would treat light bulbs as wear and tear' items and exclude them from the Ducato warranty. Even if the motorhome dealership that sold the vehicle were prepared to replace the bulb free of charge as a goodwill gesture, rather than (perhaps) travel a goodly distance to the dealership to have the bulb-swap carried out, it would make better sense to DIY the task for a few pence as FoxyRani is proposing to do.
