PhilnShaz
Hi Nick, Sorry I can't answer that without a photo, what equipment/ accessories are connected directly to the battery? Most leisure batteries only have the cables connected to them, or maybe a fuse between the two.

Derek Uzzell
There are several 12V battery terminal designs and layouts https://www.rjbatt.com.au/resources/battery-info-and-maintenance Gel deep-cycle batteries seem to often have different terminals to those used normally on wet-acid or AGM 'car' batteries. (A couple of examples here.) https://ijopower.com/products/12v-90ah-gel-deep-cycle-bat?variant=42034926649598&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIh4rJ6b7V9wIVzt_tCh1k3g5eEAQYAyABEgLLOfD_BwE https://www.photonicuniverse.com/en/catalog/full/470-200Ah-12V-Gel-deep-cycle-battery-for-motorhomes-caravans-boats-and-off-grid-power-systems.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIh4rJ6b7V9wIVzt_tCh1k3g5eEAQYBSABEgJpEPD_BwE

Derek Uzzell
If a battery has ‘abnormal’ terminals, adapters are marketed to convert such terminals into the ‘normal’ type. There’s a couple of examples here https://www.hardwarexpress.co.uk/sae-din-battery-stud-post-terminal-m6-5142-p.asp?dfw_tracker=32547-hardwarexpress5142&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI842apfLX9wIVQeztCh167wSYEAQYBSABEgKp1vD_BwE https://batterygroup.co.uk/batteries-by-application/motorhomes-rv/accessories/10198/battery-terminal-sleeve-adapter-pair-jis-to-sae/b-to-a#gref The trouble comes when a replacement battery has ‘normal’ terminals and the cables that attached to the original battery’s ‘abnormal’ terminals need to be connected up. Although there are terminal adapters to deal with replacement of a ‘normal terminal’ battery with an ‘abnormal terminal’ battery, the vice versa task will require the cables to be modified.
