terryW
Following a map update the screen is frozen. Possible power off during load but not sure. Anyone know of a hard reset as with the screen frozen I can't get to "factory reset". Any ideas folks?

terryW
No this is built into the cab console. Tried holding the dash switch for 15s but no joy. Thanks anyway
thebishbus
If you can find the fuse that supplies the unit. try removing for at least a minute. that might work. Brian B.
terryW
It may come to that but so far I can't identify the right fuse with any certainty. At the moment I have got tomtom support looking to see if there is another option. Thanks
weldted
Instead of trying to find the fuse unless you have solar just disconnect the earth lead from the engine battery and either the fuse or the earth lead from your leisure battery for 5 mins, turn on a hab light and open the cab door. That will discharge any power in the loom. Saves hunting for a fuse ??
terryW
For anyone who finds themselves in the same position and reads this thread all I can offer is the following: 1. The problem was caused by a loss of power during a map update. 2 tomtom support can do nothing to help remotely 2 removing power to the device by removing the fuse for a period of time does not help. Any further developments I will update but for now I'm of find a dealer.

Disconnecting the battery will activate my tracker unless I suspend it and then I will have insurance issue. Life used to be so simple....
thebishbus
Thinking about it, if removing the 12 volt supply does not correct it ,it is probably because a built in rechargeable battery is maintaining the supply. I think this would need discharging maybe to correct the problem. Brian B
terryW
Possibly Brian, so leaving the fuse out overnight to try that.
