Our motorhome is a manual and my OH and I haven't driven manual for some years. OH says I will drive first love and then when I have got used to it you can have a go. WELL he has stalled it several times. ME not at all. One up for the ladies eh!

Poppy, is it a Ford?

if yes, it is the vehicle not you other half - I have never had so much trouble!

stalled all the way back from Belgium - getting used to it now but still doing it.

it is something to do with the dual mass fly wheel on fords...

We have the same problem with ours, I reckon its because of the high first gear, you do eventually get used to it though.

Its particularly awkward when driving up levelling chocks, you need plenty of revs and slipping of the clutch or it stalls.

Hopefully Transits have strong clutches fitted :-S

David, stop bragging, you'll make all the other lads feel inadequate!! 8-)

My hubby has the same problem with stalling our Ford as well, does it quite a lot but of course it's the vehicles fault ......... (lol)
