bob b
I've just replaced the starter battery on my 2003 2.3 Fiat with this heavy duty calcium battery. When I connected my CTEK charger to fully charge the new battery, I noticed that the charger got very hot. Upon reading the instructions that came with the charger, it clearly stated "for lead acid batteries only". Now, what I dearly like to know is, will my on-board charger be suitable for charging this calcium battery, and what is a calcium battery anyway ? Can anybody throw any light on the subject ? I'm beginning to rather wish I hadn't bought it !
