Brian Kirby Posted May 7, 2007 Share Posted May 7, 2007 As the answer is a bit complex, varying according to the weight of your vehicle, and prevailing weather conditions, I'd suggest you get a copy of the Caravan Club's "Caravan Europe" campsite guide books, which give detailed answers on this and a number of other connected topics in each "Country" section.
