coach2000 Posted November 13, 2022 Share Posted November 13, 2022 Well folks. I may have to delay my trip. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the Bolton area? On returning from having 2 new tyres fitted, when I got out the van the engine had a slightly different sound on tick-over. Sounds like a noisy waterpump/tensioner/alternator or any pulley bearing. Everything is under plastic covers on the left hand side of the engine, so not easy to look. I am due to get my Cambelt changed, so I am hoping it can be cured at the same time. The engine is a Fiat 2.8JTD The mechanic I have always used died a couple of years ago so now would like to find somewhere pretty local and reliable. If anyone lives local and can help, then it would save me some time and worry. Anyone know the going rate for a cambelt and tensioner change nowadays? Thanks, Clive.
