Fiat Ducato dipped headlights

Our 2006 van conversion has developed an intermittent problem where the dipped lights extinguish without warning, plunging us into darkness. They then come back on again a few minutes later before turning off again a minute or two later. Full beams and sides work fine. Our commercial vehicle garage have tried the normal checks and found no corrosion or loose connections and are stumped. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

If your van is an X250 series Ducato I think you will find that there is a relay linked to the low beam headlights in the under dash fuse/relay/body computer box and it may be worth checking it in case it is faulty. (relay T01 , the lower 30 amp relay)

This is correct  just removing an refitting the relay might do the trick  but with mine the fault was in the Body Control Module BCM located behind this fuse box

Thank you to everybody for your help in this. We shall go back to the garage and discuss further.
