geoff
Whilst checking out the contacts on my omnistor step rocker switch I shorted out a pwer line and cant find the relevant fuse. My local dealer couldnt help, suggested calling Swift direct, but they are shut down until June 4th . Im driving a 54 reg Fiat Ducatto based Bessacrarr 425 . Does anyone know where its located and also has anyone got a wiring diagram they can email me ?
geoff
Further problems- as I cant get habitation lights etc to work from the cab battery it seems that a relay has been blown
Thai Bry
Only suggestion is look on MMM for contact details of the Bessacar owners club. Sorry can't be more constructive than that. Thai
howie
Same happened to me Geoff and had to feed a live wire to the battery to retract the step. Normally run of the liesure battery so check if the wire comes direct off this with a in line fuse. Lazy way of doing it, but often happens with something added on later or as an accessory. geoff
Success ! Local auto electrician pinpointed problem over the phone. The relay was NOT blown, just a fuse. This particular one is located under the bonnet dead centre behind the plastic cover. Just have to undo 2 10mm nuts to acess it
