rooster63
Anybody any idea what these pieces of metal might be for? They look brand new. Base van is a Fiat Ducato converted by Timberland. I assume I don’t need to carry on carting them around? Could they be part of the original seat fixings removed when the swivel bases were put in? paulmold
If your spare wheel is steel, you need those to put your alloy wheel in the cradle.

Derek Uzzell
You might want to have a 'test run' using the plate... https://www.motorhomefacts.com/threads/ducato-spare-wheel-carrier-wont-take-alloy-spare.89038/ (Perhaps the plate only works with 'genuine' Fiat alloy wheels.)
