Not having been able to cross over to France since the 2020 covid (Porstmouth/ Caen route) - I'm amazed at the cost increase quoted on BF site for the very same MHome as used for previus 10 years ???  Can anyone help with how to get a discount please - In the past being a C.C&M member was cost effective for our once a year trip, this however has (it would appear) ceased. The costs now quoted by C.C&M is mearly replicating BF own web site ???

Since the start of the tunnel we have been members paying £440 per year for 10 trips.
now we’ve paid £424.00 incl 2 dogs including the return. Unbelievable.
I have been looking and comparing ferries, but I think they are taking advantage.
I’ll find it interesting to see comments made to find lower costs.

Hi Den - Agree, someone is I think taking advantage But not only the ferry companies eh?

Should we be closer to the south coast rather than up here in the 'Central Deserts of Lancashire' - more frequent crossings would no doubt be considered, as such It could then be worth joining the £60 per yr. BF Club for the claimed "up to 35% discount" - but as every Portsmouth visit adds 550 miles to every crossing it isn't a valid option ?? Unless the cost of diesel drops to half price ? OK YOU CAN STOP LAUGHING NOW !!!

Thanks & Take Care

1: Go to a forum-member's posting.

2: Click on the avatar (a white "2" in a green square in 23addy46's case).

3: A window should now open that looks like this

4: Click on the "Message" button (red arrowed) and this window should then open

Enter the necessary information in the "Subject" and "Message" boxes and click on the "Send" button.

To see private messages (PMs) you need to click on the 'envelope' icon next to your avatar and user-name at the top-right of the forum home-page and look in your in-box.

(It's perhaps worth adding that forum members can choose not to receive private messages if they so wish - but I believe 'accept PMs' is the default.)

It seems BF have moved the goalposts regarding the frequent traveller scheme.

I don't think that new memberships are afforded the same discount throughout the year and the 'up to 35%' varies depending on whether off-peak or high season.

The only way I could help is offering you the membership code to enable a 10% discount on your booking.

Many thanks Derek just could not clear the brain fog.
