eljay
Hi Chunky, You can overnight on the sea front at Dover for free. Alternatively, I have known others use the Tesco car park just off the A2 to the north of Dover - somewhat quieter, perhaps. John
Tony Jones
I asked Dover Harbour this last year (carparking@doverport.co.uk); I've pasted their reply below. We used this facility then, and will prob do so again this year. £8 is a lot, but we felt it was worth it for the convenience. It's actually on the roof of the terminal building - you go up the ramp, ignoring the height restriction notice (this is the scary bit!) and turn left onto the roof just before the actual height barrier. Tony Their e-mail: We have a multi-storey car park located at the terminal, within short walking distance from the Travel Centre, however this park has a height restriction of 2 m. For overheight vehicles we allow parking in our "Staff & Permit holders car park", adjacent to the multi-storey, all car parks are accessible 24hrs a day. To get to this car park, simply follow the signage for the multi storey, and the park is located on the left hand side, just before the entrance to the Multi storey. The cost for 12 hours parking would be £8.00. Regards, Susanne
