kevandali
Hi All This is a long shot but someone might be able to help I have spent hours adding Aire co-ordinates onto my sat nav pda and plan to spend a week or more on the coast to the west and south of Quimper. Has anyone visited the area of Audierne, Plozevet, Penmarsh or other coastal villages and if so, did they have set market days? I realise that half the fun is trying out all the different places but if we know an open market happens on a certain day at a certain place we will definitely call in. Cheers for all the help in advance kevandali
Randonneur
Try this site www.brittany.angloinfo.com/information/2/markets.asp or put markets in your search engine with the name of the area or town first.

peejay
Hi Kev&Ali; Heres the ideal book for French markets... 'Markets Of France' by Janice Gallagher, £13.99. ISBN No 1-903861-00-4 We've got one and always have it onboard for France trips. http://us.geocities.com/loisirspublications/Page_1.html You might get it cheaper on fleabay or amazon. pete
empress
I looked these up in the book mentioned by Peejay, Audierne Saturday market. Plozevet Monday, and then it says 1st Monday. Penm'che Kerity (I assume this is Penmarsh!) has a Saturday market from 15th June to 15th September. I hope this information is correct and will be of help. kevandali
Thanks for all the info, will probably not get the book at the moment as we are not expecting to cover a lot of France just yet, just the Brittany region for the time being. It always continues to suprise me that whatever the question, there always seems to be someone out there who is willing to help. Much appreciated :-)
