johnsandywhite
B-) The same sort of stands used by DJ's & Entertainers for Speakers. ;-) B-) I have an old stand outside the house now with a 60cm Dish. ;-)
colin
Mine came off ebay, with dish and sat finder. I have drilled bottom of legs to take long skewer type pegs to secure in winds.
Mel E
Colin makes a good point - whatever the tripod you choose, you must be able to secure it firmly to the ground as the dish creates a nice sail area that will displace it any time the wind picks up. Ralph
I kill 2 birds with one stone. I carry a portable rotary clothes line which has a decent tripod. This can be used for the sat dish as well (no! not at the same time :-D ) Use tent pegs to secure it to the ground.
tonyishuk
Many thx for your comments. I purchased a camping tripod clothes drier, (£19 ) As long as the cothes dry in the day, we can watch the Sat at night. Its a little smaler and lighter than the Maxview or Wine guard version, but seems stable enough ( as long as the sheets are taken of the drier first :-) Rgds
