david lloyd
Hello hobby, my only knowledge of using smart alternators in Motorhomes is that you can ‘fool’ the smart alternator into continuing to charge by using your dipped headlights so that it doesn’t turn off and, consequently, stop charging the leisure battery. Of course, it is entirely possible now that the issue has been recognised, that a solution has been built into new models but I cannot confirm this. Derek Uzzell
Hobby This link is to a 2021 Autoquest handbook https://elddis.co.uk/uploads/Handbooks/2021/Autoquest MH 2021_APPROVED.pdf Pages 8-2 and 8-3 include the following guidance So the answer to your question "...has this been addressed on new builds?" is "Yes, it apparently has been addressed by Elddis". (Something to check when you take delivery of your new motorhome. Get the vendor to show you where the Schaudt booster is located.)
