Battery charger

Do auxiliary items run directly off the mains when hooked up or do they continue to draw from the leisure battery and the battery charger keeps them topped up?
In other words can I disconnect the battery charger and continue to run fridge etc off the mains or will I have one plug socket connected to the mains and the rest running off the leisure battery?

Assuming that you do not have an inverter fitted, all mains appliances will only work from the mains and the battery is not involved.  One exception is that some fridges required 12 volts as well to power the control system and lights.

Your 12 volt appliances, pumps, lights etc., run off the battery.  The battery will be maintained by the charger when connected to the mains.  If the battery is disconnected then the charger may still power the appliances but this is not recommended for some makes of charger.  If the battery remains connected while on the mains it can act as a buffer to allow more current to be drawn for short periods than the charger can supply on its own.
